We are thrilled to have entered an exciting new chapter as we join forces with The Mango Tree. By uniting our two organisations, we're able to exponentially expand our reach and create even more profound, impactful change for vulnerable children across East Africa. After seeing a strong alignment in values, we are delighted to support The Mango Tree with their locally led projects, encouraging sustainable local leadership.
Since our beginning in 2009, Kids Club Kampala has been a beacon of hope for families in Uganda, providing for both their immediate needs and strengthening their futures through access to education, family strengthening and child protection. Our work is based on a holistic, community-based approach. We focus on meeting the immediate needs of children and families while empowering them to bring about long-term, sustainable changes in their lives, with the ultimate aim of helping kids in East Africa survive and thrive.

A collaborative journey of growth and impact
As of 1st April, our partnership with The Mango Tree has officially begun! This exciting collaboration will be gradual over the next three years, ensuring each step is thorough and informed. The Mango Tree have now closed their UK offices, meaning the Kids Club Kampala UK team will be supporting their in-country partners in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, helping them fulfil their promise to provide free education to vulnerable children.
The Mango Tree has supported over 13,000 orphans in Tanzania, and empowered girls with initiatives such as Girls for the Future, which ensures education and training toward employment. The Mango Tree’s programmes across East Africa have collectively supported over 257,000 people, focusing their investment in countries and regions which have been hardest hit by the AIDS pandemic.
We are grateful for this partnership, enabling us to collaboratively reach more people living below the poverty line in East Africa.
Our shared vision: cultivating lasting change
Looking ahead to 2035, our ambitious vision is to double the number of lives we touch, creating a powerful ripple effect that impacts over 5 million people. We hope to be recognised as a leading force for transformative change in East African child welfare. We have a clear strategy: strengthen our programmes in Kampala's communities, help children reach their full potential through our vital programmes, and grow our reach across East Africa by building strong partnerships. We will continue to lead with our holistic, community-led approach, tackling root causes of poverty, and ensuring that no child is left behind.
