Kids Club Kampala has recently embarked on a new adventure with The Mango Tree, combining the efforts of the two organisations to increase our collective impact across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. In each of these countries are the teams who make our vital programmes possible, supporting children and families in need of opportunities to lift themselves out of poverty.

We are truly grateful to be working with such fantastic in-country partners, and wanted to share a message from the team in Tanzania, The Organisation for Matumaini Communities (OMC), as they reflect on the joining of Kids Club Kampala and The Mango Tree ...
The picture of childhood in Tanzania and Uganda is often marked by vulnerability and limited opportunities for those most in need. However, a powerful effort for change has been in the ground through the dedicated efforts of The Mango Tree. The partnership between The Mango Tree and OMC was formally established in October 2024 and has already begun to weave a lot of hope and opportunity into the lives of countless children.
For years, The Mango Tree has been a beacon of support in Tanzania, reaching out to vulnerable children in Kyela, providing educational resources and expanding impact. Simultaneously, across the border in Uganda, Kids Club Kampala has been a tireless advocate for children in marginalised communities, offering holistic care and education as a sustainable route out of poverty. Each organisation, in its own right, has been a vital lifeline.
The vision of OMC, under the leadership of Director Lugenge, recognised the immense potential of bringing together the established networks and expertise of The Mango Tree and Kids Club Kampala, and with the effort from OMC's resources, a new era of impact was pictured.
This partnership is not merely a collaboration; it is a powerful merger of hearts and minds, united by a shared commitment to transforming the lives of children in need.
The impact of this partnership is already being felt on the ground. In Tanzania, the support for more than 200 students has been strengthened, ensuring they not only receive financial assistance, but also benefit from a wider network of mentorship and guidance.
The power of this partnership lies not just in the pooling of resources, but in the shared passion and unwavering dedication of individuals working towards a common goal. It is a testament to the belief that by working together, organisations can achieve far more than they can alone.
The stories of children whose lives are being touched by this collaboration will continue to be a powerful testament to its enduring impact.
Thank you, Lugenge
Director Lugenge and his team work tirelessly to make positive change possible. They recently shared the story of Bradley* who lost both parents at a young age …

Bradley was raised by his siblings, and was fortunate enough to receive an education. After completing his advanced level secondary education, he had the opportunity to join Sokoine University of Agriculture at the bachelor's degree level, pursuing his passion and interest in human nutrition.
“There was a time when I would miss dinner due to a lack of money to buy food, as food here at the university is expensive. Also, at this university, if you delay tuition fees, they have no tolerance other than to dismiss you as a student. This caused me great fear, but I thank God that in the second semester, I started receiving support, and my joy was huge.” - Bradley
