The vision of Kids Club Kampala is to care for the needs of vulnerable children, to give them a bright future and enable them to realise their God-given potential. Our ultimate goal is to see lives transformed, children and communities empowered and, poverty reduced throughout the areas that we work in and further afield.
Our Core Values:
Kids Club Kampala is a Christian organisation founded on Christian beliefs and values. We are called to put God at the forefront of our work and love our neighbours as ourselves. Everything we do is for the benefit of those living in poverty that we work to support.
‘Jesus said: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these”’ - Matthew 19:14
Upholding the rights of the child
We uphold the rights of the child as detailed in the United Nations convention on the Rights of the Child.
Valuing all individuals
Kids Club Kampala values all individuals. We are called to value all beneficiaries, volunteers, staff members, donors and supporters equally.
We are inclusive and welcome people of every faith, gender, ethnicity and social background. This extends to all areas of Kids Club Kampala’s work.
Community led and community driven
We aim to empower people to be active in their own development and to make a difference in their own communities. We believe the ideas for our programmes and projects should come from the communities themselves. We believe in asking people what their needs are and then working with them to find how best we can support and help them. We give people the space to come up with creative solutions to their problems themselves.
Accountable and transparent
We are accountable for how we use the resources entrusted to us, ensuring that our decision-making is open and transparent. We measure the impact and effectiveness of our work and are always striving to improve our performance.
We value fun in every area of our work and place a great value on the benefits of children especially being enabled to have fun and just be kids.
