About- What we do
Kids Club Activities
Every Saturday KCK takes place with the help of our volunteers in each of our KCK centres. A typical Kids Club includes playing sports and games, singing songs, providing snacks and sharing a message of hope through Bible stories. We are passionate that these children get the chance to play and enjoy being kids for a few hours without the stresses and worries of their everyday lives and we believe that Gods’ love can change the world and the little lives of these kids.
Supporting Basic Needs
Most of the kids we serve are in desperate need and lack basic services. Kids Club Kampala often holds giveaways of essential items for all of the children at all of our centres. This includes food, clothing, shoes, soap, school supplies, mosquito nets and more.
You can purchase alternative gifts to support children in these basic needs. Please visit the shop.
Women’s Initiatives
We aim to empower women through the teaching of vocational skills and providing them with a means of generating income and increasing their self-esteem. Women at each of our KCK centres have the chance to learn how to make different craft items which are available to buy from our online shop.
KCK also holds women’s conferences and parenting seminars to empower and educate the women. Through loving and empowering these women and children we aim to transform whole communities.
Football Ministry
Kids Club Kampala is launching a football project in order to reach the older boys at KCK centres. We’re kicking off this project at our Namavundu centre, and hope in the future to have it running at all centres. We hope to provide training, kits, matches, and more for these boys. We at KCK are passionate about reaching these boys through sport, to show them God’s love and to get along side them and encourage them in their talents.
One-off Events
Christmas Parties: Each year we aim to bring all of our Kids Club Centres together to celebrate Christmas. We hold Christmas parties each December in order to allow the children to have a chance to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The day always includes games, food, fun and Christmas cake. This celebration is the only chance most of these children will have to eat and meal together and celebrate Christmas. Click here to check out our newsletters to see how last years party went.
Future Plans
Through empowering the children and local people, Kids Club Kampala aims to become a community initiative with the whole areas and age ranges becoming involved and taking ownership of this project. We have future plans to transform whole communities through adult education classes, parenting seminars, basic healthcare and sanitation education, income generation projects and community evangelism.
Kids Club Kampala hopes to expand to many new places in Uganda, throughout East Africa and to the rest of the developing world.
We thank God for the vision he has given us for Kids Club Kampala and the passion he has placed in our hearts. We trust Him to guide the way and provide the means for us to carry out His work.
Kids Club Kampala is currently undergoing charitable status registration in the UK.
